Sitting in the mall

Sitting at my regular study spot (*bucks). All I have to do is look up from my books and see the signs that say buy me. 20-50% off, SALE, 50% off plus store credit! If I look the other way I see empty, closed stores: the latest victim of our vicious economy. Yes, I am sitting in a mall while my family does some Christmas shopping. I love Christmas -mostly because I get to spend extra time with my family. Christmas is way better with kids! I am studying Galatians 5:4-5 for Sunday which presents the question, “What child is this?” The answer is: this child, born of a woman, will bring excessive blessing and freedom. Not the blessing of scoring a great buy at the mall. Life changing blessing and freedom that comes in newness of life found only in Jesus.
